Not only will this day of automotive observation allow you the opportunity to see some of the most coveted cars in the world, but it also offers the chance to explore the infamous dining, boutique shopping, stunning art galleries and spectacular views that are La Jolla California.

Over the past four years, the La Jolla Motor Car Classic has paid tribute to Italian marques, British marques, Woodies and the classics of the 1950s. This year's event will feature a special tribute to Pre-1916 Horseless Carriages, as well as high line motor cars manufactured during the 1920s through 1950s and are designated "classics" by the Classic Car Club of America.

Car collecting in Southern California is common, but a small few of these vintage vehicles represent the dawning of the age of the automobile industry. The first owners of these unique carriage coachwork automobiles were visionary pioneers. Pre-1916 Horseless Carriages themselves were hand cranked, featured gas lights and were elaborately decorated with the use of brass. As years went on, car builders continued to make vehicles that excelled in speed, power and design, but cars produced from the 1920s through the 1950s truly represented some of the finest automobiles to date. Cars recognized as Classic Car Club of America Classics were built in limited production numbers and at the time of their creation were expensive, representing the pinnacle of engineering, styling and design for their era. The La Jolla Motor Car Classic will showcase many of these historically significant and brilliantly maintained automobiles.

Although automobiles that span the birth of the motorized car through the 1950s will be celebrated; car enthusiasts will be delighted to find makes and models for every aficionado or curious spectator. The La Jolla Motor Car Classic will highlight many juried classes of automobiles, including Speedsters, Roadsters, Muscle cars, Italian marques, British marques, pre and post war models along with exotic sports cars and many more. Collectors from Southern California and beyond will bring their most prized possessions to the scenic La Jolla Cove to be judged in ten categories along with Excellence in Design, Director's Choice, Best in Show, and People's Choice Award. That's right; even you can cast a vote for the automobile of your choice.

The La Jolla Motor Car Classic would not be complete without exquisite entertainment to add to this unique day. The San Diego Chamber Orchestra will be on hand with string and horn players that will wander through the venue while the Monarch School's Steel Drum Band will also entertain crowds. Be sure to stick around for the awards presentation at the end of the event to see if your favorite automobile takes home a cup!

This is a beautiful way to spend an afternoon with the family, strolling along the pristine grass overlooking one of the most breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean while reliving a time when the automobile was a work of art. In addition to the spectacular automobiles you can also take in all that La Jolla has to offer. Dine at one of the phenomenal restaurants, enjoy some shopping, or visit one of the many galleries for some of La Jolla's other fine works of art.

The La Jolla Motor Car Classic is a free event in which you can view some of the most expensive vehicles in the world. Bentleys, Packards, Daimlers, Rolls Royces, Cobras, Jaguars, Ferraris, Fords, Chevrolets and Mercedes along with beautiful La Jolla await you at the La Jolla Motor Car Classic.
